Have I ever told you that my husband and I are married because of Guitar Hero? Actually, that’s a stretch, but the first weekend we really hung out together was also the time he introduced me to Guitar Hero, so I sort of feel like we formed a special bond while jamming out on fake guitars to such classics as “Sweet Child of Mine”… and hanging out with The Congresswoman at Target… and touring DC.
Anyway, we got married and we have our own little rock band now, though a couple are still in the banging-on-pots-and-pans stage (I now appreciate the terrors my parents put themselves through when they enrolled six kids in violin and piano lessons).
Why a photo shoot? Because there was a cool stage in Fayetteville, NC (where we were living at the time) and we wanted to take pictures there. Plain and simple. Plus, we already had Rock Band equipment and a mini guitar.
How? We basically dressed our kids up in the most hipster stuff we could come up with. Then we took them downtown, fed them candy, and let them loose. Don’t judge.
Photo editing: We added colored light beams in Lightroom. Seriously, that’s it. Easy and fun. You should do it!
