For Christmas, we bought a die cast pedal car “for our daughter.”
(Be honest: if you are a parent, don’t you buy most of your kids toys so you can live vicariously through them? We do… the rest we buy as “photo props” for our “business.”)
When I saw the car sitting there looking lonely in Tuesday Morning, the little girl in me wanted it! And the photographer in me knew I would think of an awesome photo shoot to work it into.
Who knows what prompted James Bond. Maybe watching Get Smart? Or, actually I think we saw a little tuxedo somewhere and needed a reason to justify buying it (see above). Either way, once we had 007 in our minds, he was there to stay. We bought the tuxedo, a squirt gun from the dollar store, and I made a little evening dress for my daughter. Costumes completed.
We lived in Fayetteville, North Carolina at the time, and the old-town downtown had the perfect feel, so we found an alley with no traffic and conducted our little cosplay there, with lots of smiles and fun.
After the photo shoot, we developed a Lightroom preset to use on the photos. It is included in my Lightroom Preset Collection and now available for purchase on Etsy.
