Aladdin and Jasmine

Would you like me to sing “A Whole New World” to¬†you? No? That’s weird; my kids don’t either.

On one of his overseas trips, my husband picked up a genie lantern and a belly dancing outfit for my daughter. When we started combining a little LARP into our photo shoots, we remembered both those items and decided to cosplay Aladdin and Jasmine. I put together a little pair of baggy pants and a vest for my “Prince Ali,” and we took a little rug outside (we brought a monkey too, but the monkey didn’t end up making it into many pictures). We let the kids try to rub a genie out of the bottle (that would have been a great trick if it had worked!), and they enjoyed playing in the spring weather and flower petals more than anything.

  • Absolutely love your website. I’m going to share this on facebook and twitter. Thank you so much for the child’s hooded cloak tutorial and pattern.
